Derek and Gayle are a well-travelled, interesting couple who are renowned for their warm hospitality.

Gayle grew up in Canada and met Derek, a South African, while on vacation. Before moving to Victoria 20 years ago they lived in Zululand. Victoria has become home for them and they take great pleasure in introducing others to this beautiful city. Their home is organized and immaculate but they themselves lead a relaxed, casual lifestyle.

Derek has a keen interest in gardening, golf, and loves to walk and cycle around the neighbourhood as well as the Galloping Goose trail. Gayle likes to read, volunteer, and is taking a variety of courses at the University of Victoria. For both keeping fit is a priority and they have a passion for travel.
